There is a package on the desk beside me that may or may not be my new laptop thing.

It has my boyfriend's name on it so I can't open it.

The suspense is killing me.

But~ I'm pretty much all caught up with my word count~ I managed it yesterday, getting just a little ahead of the usual NaNo schedule.

But...not ahead of my personal schedule. But I am actually able to type more often than I thought so I guess if I continue at this pace, i should be ahead of of my schedule either tonight or tomorrow.

Which is good because the closer I get to finishing my fifty thousand words means I am closer to reserving/apping at The Wake and getting back into RP stuffs. I miss it~ But I dare not wake the Sephy muse - or any of the others - just yet in case all the NaNo muses jump ship.

I got a phone call yesterday from  my friend, the one who asked me to write this particular story. He's pretty much begging for a new chapter to be posted but until I can clean it up a little in Word, I'm not going to risk it. Too many mistakes. But it's good that he's waiting for it. I've not had much in the way of feedback - maybe need to post in more places but again, need to get back home for the separate chapter files.

I have at least three backups of the fic online - two in email accounts, another in Google Documents - and backups on my boyfriend's computer. When I go home, I will back up on to my USB stick and my external hard drive as well as the computer hard drive. There will also be back ups on the laptop, whenever I get that working. That's like...seven back ups in total... Maybe I'm a little paranoid of losing it?

The smoke alarm keeps going off downstairs. I'm sure one of the kids was over - one of the twins. Surprised he didn't cry. His sister is in the hospital apparently. She has a lump on the side of her neck that is about the size of an egg or an apple, depending on who you ask. And the first thing her mother did when noticing it? Call her mother to check if she should take her to the hospital. Personally, if my kid developed a lump that size, I'd take her straight to the hospital without hesitation, especially if I lived about five minutes walk away from it like they do (and really, it's only five minutes because of the time it takes to cross the busy roads and navigate the car park).

Well, anyway, I need to get back to writing if I want to knock out another 4000+ words today. <3
